A utilização das TIC na aprendizagem dos estudantes de uma instituição de formação inicial de professores

The use of ICT in higher education is in a phase of great development. The objective of this study was to analyze how ICT is used by the students of the Basic Education Degree of a Teachers Initial Training Institution and the influence they exert in their work activities. Students were expected to demonstrate how they use ICT in their degree, as well as their experiences and difficulties. We used a mixed methodology, so we constructed data collection instruments, questionnaires and semi-structured interviews, which were the object of a quantitative and qualitative analysis. This investigation is based on the case study approach, since it refers to the students study, at the end of the 2018/2019 school year. Analysis of the data collected suggests that there are still a small number of students who have some difficulty in using ICT in a Teachers Initial Training Institution and that there are some constraints on the equipment available.
