Better Oral Health for All Leading the implementation of the World Health Organisation’s Action Plan for Oral Health.The global burden of oral diseases and conditions is an urgent public health challenge which disproportionately affects vulnerable and marginalised members of society.
The WHO Action Plan for Oral Health sets goals and a framework with clear measurable targets to be achieved by 2030. Now it is time for us as Deans to consider how we will play our role in delivering those goals: we will start by working together to create our action plan for this. This will be an interactive, action-focused session, drawing on Deans’ experiences and knowledge as we work together to plan how to implement the plan.
During this time we will:
Explore how people experience change, and our role in that as leaders
Stimulate out of the box thinking using creative thinking tools
Generate, then select the best ideas for us to have maximum impact
Build action plans to lead dental schools towards successful implementation
Practice on how to best communicate and engage with others to build momentum
