Analyzing the historical evolution of music, we can observe that technological resources have played a crucial role in expanding the capacity for artistic expression and often challenging and questioning the paradigms of the discipline. The influence of digital technology, both in creation and dissemination, has been remarkable both in artistic manifestation and in the relationship we establish with musical practice. The diverse resources of expressiveness, of composition processes, and the enormous range of sonorities that are available, as well as the facilities of specific software for musical use, are elements that offer the artist a wide variety of options to be used in the processes of creation and execution In this session, an evolution of computer music will be presented through guided listening of works with room for comments and discussion.
