Description
In this talk, the opposition, and sometimes superposition of concepts, of technology and ecology will be approached through the keen eye of artistic practice to find a possible balance between a more tech-oriented world and biosphere on the verge of climatic collapse to sustain this growth. This idea of equilibrium is necessary in a planet where the desire for infinite growth is constantly challenged by the limited resources available. Should we continue in the same direction? Should we teak the knobs for ecology and drop technology? Can technology be more ecological? Can it be used to synthesise nature and enable its recovery? Can art play a role in finding the balance, or in questioning current paradigms?
