The Assessment Tests of Research Capacity (PACI) take place following the work developed during the curricular unit of Thesis Planning, which has the central objective of providing students with an opportunity to identify the issues related to the realization of a doctoral thesis in the area of digital media art.
In this curricular unit students will carry out a state-of-the-art study / literature and artifacts review, and subsequently conclude this study and elaborate a thesis project proposal, including a work plan for the 2nd and 3rd years of the PhD. They will thus make a presentation and defense in public examination of their thesis project, including the concrete work plan concerning the research and thesis preparation activities that will take place during the 2nd and 3rd year of the PhD.
