Fostering the Employability in Gaza: A Real Partnership Model between Academia, Industry and Policymakers

Activity: Talk or presentationInvited talk

Description

International Event: I was invited as the representative of a Portuguese Higher Education Institution

How can Universities and Research Centres contribute to sustainable economic development? How can Business and Academia cooperate for sustaining innovative careers for Mediterranean students and researchers?

This Forum on Innovation and Employability ("UfM Forum on Innovation and Employability: Innovating the Academia-Industry Linkage in the Mediterranean") allowed representatives from Academia, Industry, and Government to discuss, assess and share experiences and best practices around improving employability in the region of the Mediterranean. This event was part of the Union for the Mediterranean initiative “Reinforcing the innovation-employability nexus in the Mediterranean”.

I was invited as the representative of the winner group (with other colleagues from Egypt, Turkey and Palestine) of the interactive training “Building Strategic Partnerships” to present our winning proposal on “Fostering employability in Gaza”. The event was very inspiring and enriching in terms of allowing the attendees to discuss on lessons, ideas, and opportunities for the way forward.
