Description

The presentation focuses immigrants second generations in Portugal and establishes a relation between types of social capital – bounding (restricted) and bridging (widened) – and cultural relation strategies, giving particular relevance to integration. The conceptual analysis model and the obtained results might be a starting point for future research on intervention strategies next to immigrants’ descendants, in order to promote both types of social capital and, consequently, an effective integration.
