Description

EFFoST collection - Wiley and the European Federation of Food Science and Technology (EFFoST) recently announced a new collaboration to advance research and innovation in the field of food science, starting in January 2026. As part of this agreement, the Journal of Food Quality, will become the official journal of EFFoST and will publish contributions of international society members as part of an EFFoST collections, related to the annual EFFoST Conference and other topics.

This project will feature a selection of outstanding research presented at the 39th EFFoST International Conference (EFFoST2025). Contributions will be aligned with the conference themes: https://www.effost.org/agenda/39th-effost-international-conference-1.

The Conference Organising Committee will invite selected authors to contribute, and all articles will undergo a rigorous peer-review process led by the Editors-in-Chief and the EFFoST2025 Guest Editor.

The three main conference subthemes are:
1. Exploring Novel and Alternative Food Sources for the Future
2. Sustainable Food Processing and Packaging Innovations
3. Digital Transition/Big Data towards Food Systems Transformation-
