Biography

Íris M. Oliveira, PhD in Applied Psychology by the University of Minho and specialist in Educational Psychology by the Portuguese Order of Psychologists, is currently an Assistant Professor at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa as well as an integrated member of the Centre for Philosophical and Humanistic Studies. Her research interests include: children's career development; articulation among career, academic, and work processes; career and educational psychological assessment. Regarding the university's extension to the community, Íris M. Oliveira keeps activity as an educational psychologist, serves as a member of the board of the Portuguese Association for Career Development, as well as collaborates in initiatives from community educational organizations.
