Biography

Adriana Martins is associate professor with aggregation at the the Faculty of Human Sciences at Universidade Católica Portuguesa and a senior member of CECC (Research Centre for Communication and Culture). She holds a PhD in Comparative Literature. She has been the head of the Department of Culture Studies since 2019, and she is a member of the steering committee of the Lisbon Consortium. Her main research interests are Culture Studies, Visual Culture, Film Studies, Comparative Literature, Globalization Studies and Intercultural Communication. Many of her publications are about Portuguese contemporary literature and film and practices of archiveology.
