Biography

Alexandra Pereira is a postdoctoral research fellow for the Postdoctoral Program in Integral Human Development (IHD) at CADOS and a researcher at CECC, Portuguese Catholic University (UCP). She is developing a postdoctoral project on 1st and 2nd generation Nepali female migrants in Portugal. | PhD Sociology by ISEG ULisbon | MA Psychology by UCoimbra | Member of IMISCOE/Migration Research Hub, Portuguese Association of Sociology (APS), and Portuguese Psychologists Council (OPP). 

Her research interests include: Nepali diaspora in Portugal and Europe, Nepali migrant females, transnationalism, migration and climate change, migrant digital media, labor exploitation and human trafficking.
