Biography

After submitting her PhD thesis in Culture Studies at the Faculty of Human Sciences - Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Amadea Kovič is currently a postdoctoral fellow at DHI - Post-Doctoral Program in Integral Human Development, with a project revolving around visual storytelling workshops for youth. She obtained her Master's degree (2019) and a Bachelor's degree (2016) in History of Art and Slovene Studies at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Arts. During her Master's studies, she completed two semesters under the Erasmus+ Programme: the first one at the Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa (2018) and the second one at L'École Pratique des Hautes Études in Paris (2019). Her PhD project research, revolving around contemporary feminist visual art in Portugal and Slovenia, was supported by the Research Centre for Communication and Culture through funding by FCT - Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia.
