    Biography

    Ana Cristina Godinho de Albuquerque is Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Human Sciences of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, where she has teaches English and Translation in the Media Studies and Applied Foreign Language undergraduate programmes, as well as Contrastive Linguistics in the Portuguese as a Foreign Language Master’s programme. She graduated in English and Portuguese Language and Literature from the Nova School of Social Sciences and Humanities (1991); holds an MA in Applied Linguistics from the Faculty of Letters of the University of  Lisbon (2006) and a PhD in Linguistics from the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (2017). She is a researcher at CECC, the Centre for Communication and Culture and her publications and research interests include Applied Linguistics, Register and Genre Theory, Multimodality and the EFL teaching and learning.
