Biography

Ana Maria Garcia Bernardo – Bachelor’s in Germanic Philology (Universidade de Lisboa, Faculdade de Letras), Master’s in German Linguistics (Philipps- Universität Marburg, Germany), PhD and Habilitation in Translation Studies (Universidade Nova de Lisboa). Associate Professor at the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of the New University of Lisbon. Academic experience: Teaching of Translation (German/Portuguese and Portuguese/German) and also theoretical issues, both in Bachelor’s and in Master’s degrees. Publications: 5 monographies, 34 articles in specialized journals and book chapters and 8 translations. Research areas/ Main interests: Translatology and Cognition. Music.
