Biography

Andrei Venturini Martins has a PhD in Philosophy from PUC-SP (2011). He is a professor at the Federal Institute of São Paulo (IFSP), coordinator of the Augustinian Studies Center of the Politics, Behavior and Media Laboratory (Fundasp/PUC-SP/Labô) and member of the Brazilian Association of Philosophy of Religion (ABFR). He is the author of the commentary and translation of the work Discourse on the Reform of the Inner Man, by Cornelius Jansenius (Filocalia, 2016) and of the following books: From the Nefarious Kingdom of Self-Love: the origin of evil in Blaise Pascal (Filocalia, 2017); What is Man? (Editora CRV, 2018); The Truth is Unbearable: essays on hypocrisy (Filocalia, 2019) and Joaquim Nabuco: a liberal abolitionist from Brazil (Editora É Realizações, 2022).
