Biography

Anne-France Beaufils was born in 1965 in Paris, France and lived in Geneva, Switzerland, for 3 years, where she worked for the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies League. She holds a PhD in Languages and Cultures Didactics from the Université de La Sorbonne Nouvelle, Paris, France (2007). She has been teaching foreign languages in various Portuguese universities since 1998. At present, she is an Assistant Professor at Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Lisboa, Portugal, where she has taught French Language, French Culture and Technical Translation. She is member of the Research Centre For Communication and Culture (CECC), Lisboa, Portugal. She is also founder and director of the Portuguese professional language institute AFB Línguas. She has created French and Portuguese for Foreigners online interactive learning programmes. Her research areas are adult education, language teaching and e-learning. Her recent studies have been focused on collaborative and interclasses activities in foreign language classes.
