    Biography

    Ariane Franco Lopes da Silva holds a PhD in Education (University of Cambridge/UK) and a Master's Degree in Education (University of Cambridge/UK). She is a researcher at the Centre of Studies for Human Development (CEDH) - Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Faculty of Education and Psychology (Porto, Portugal). She worked as a Professor at Universidade Federal da Fronteira Sul (UFFS), Catholic University of Santos (UNISANTOS), and Universidade Paulista (UNIP). Dr Silva is a research member of the International Centre of Studies in Social Representations, Subjectivity - education (Ciers - ed, Fundação Carlos Chagas, SP). She holds a Post-Doc from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC/SP) and the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (FEP - UCP). Dr Silva is currently a Senior Research Fellow at Ultreia Association. She is a trained ballet dancer (Escola de Bailado do Teatro Municipal de São Paulo/BR, Central School of Ballet/UK - British Council Scholarship -, Royal Academy of Dance Certificates). Her research interests are social representations, research methodologies, education, body image and social identities.
