Bruno Morais Afonso has 20 years of experience in several fields related to Sound Technology: Sound Engineering, Music Composition and Interface Design. Much of his past work has been related to Technical functions in some live demanding situations, like technical director of a concert venue for almost two years or Sound-engineer in a 3000-person cruise ship, where he was technically responsible for all the sound equipment and venues. Electronic Composer since 2000, mostly producing professional work in Video Productions but also producing/composing music for his creative fulfillment. Undergrad in Music Technology in 2005, enriched his knowledge in Interactive Music Design in 2009 in a Master of Sonic Arts. Research fellow in the project "A Computational Framework for Sound Segregation in Music Signals" (PTDC/EIA-CCO/111050/2009), where he deepened his expertise in psychoacoustics. Steadily developing knowledge and projects in the new art of interface design with technologies like Max/Msp, Leap Motion, Kinect, Machine Learning, Arduino, coding languages. In 2016, he was introduced to the field of Assistive Musical Technology, when teaching a workshop on music technology in Cerebral Palsy Association of Porto [Associação Porto de Paralisia Cerebral], remaining on and off connected to the Association on the topic of Assistive Musical Technology.
