Bruno Nobre is an Assistante Professor and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences (FFCS) of the Catholic University of Portugal (UCP). He is a member of the borad of the Center for Philosophical and Humanistic Studies, and coordinator of the topic 1 ("Causal processes, complex systems and emergence"). He is, since 2020, the Editor of Revista Portuguesa de Filosofia (the Portuguese Journal of Philosophy, Scopus Q3). Bruno Nobre completed his PhD in Physics in 2005, at Instituto Superior Técnico (University of Lisbon), with a thesis in the area of Particle Physics, where he also completed a Licenciate Degree in Engineering Physics (2000). He completed, in 2010, a Licenciate in Philosophy at the FFCS, UCP. In 2015 he completed the Master of Dvinity Degree at the Boston College School of Theology and Ministry (Boston, USA), and in 2016 a Sacred Theology Licentiate, also the Boston College. He did a PostDoc in Philosophy of Science at Universidade Estadual do Rio de Janeiro (Brasil). His research interests are: philosophy of science and philosophy of physics, philosophy of religion, and ethics.
