Cátia Ferreira

Cátia Ferreira holds a PhD in Communication and Media Studies from Universidade Católica Portuguesa. Currently, she is Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Human Sciences, at Universidade Católica Portuguesa. She is an integrated researcher at CECC (Research Centre for Communication and Culture) and collaborating researcher at CETAPS (Centre for English, Translation, and Anglo-Portuguese Studies). Her research and teaching areas focus on digital media and multimedia studies, with a focus on: digital games, social media and mobile devices, audiovisual and multimedia communication, emerging content production strategies, such as digital storytelling, transmedia and cross-media, digital reading and editing, gamification and content marketing.
