Personal profile

Biography

Throughout my career I have worked in three main areas: research, teaching and management. With a background in biochemistry, specialization in bacteriology, I have sought to develop high-impact research by combining investigations in bacterial ecology and evolution with the development of new knowledge with potential impact on human activities. The ecology of antibiotic resistance has been a major focus. In parallel, I have taught microbiology and genetics courses (~7 courses/year). Since 1998, I have integrated various university management activities, positions from which I have gained experience in organisational culture.
