Biography

I'm licensed in Chemistry (Biochemistry and Food Chemistry) by the University of Aveiro since 2000. In 2006, in this same institution, and under the orientation of Professor Artur Silva and co-orientation of the doctors Antonio César Ferreira and Paula Guedes de Pinho, I presented my Master's proofs in Chemistry of Natural Products, with the title "Wine Resistance to Oxidation. In 2014, also by the University of Aveiro, and under the orientation of Professor Artur Silva and co-orientation of Dr. Antonio César Ferreira, I applied for PhD degree in Chemistry, with the presentation of a thesis with the title “Pathways of oxidative degradation of wine". I began my professional activity in 2000, at the Superior School of Biotechnology of the Portuguese Catholic University, where I had collaborated on several research projects. In 2014 and 2015 I began my collaboration as researcher (development of instrumental methods of analysis) in Cork Supply Company Portugal, and actually I am operating and managing a platform of GC/LC/MS in the Superior School of Biotechnology of the Portuguese Catholic University. During these 16 years, I have developed skills in instrumental methods of analysis: HPLC (high performance liquid chromatography), GC (gas chromatography), GC-MS and GC-MS/MS, LC-MS and LC-MS/MS (mass spectrometry with "ion trap" and triple quadrupole), electroanalytical techniques (potentiometry and voltammetry), spectral analysis by NMR and LC-NMR, among others, as well as extensive experience in data analysis (directed and non-directed).
