Carlos Bizarro Morais

Carlos Bizarro Morais has a Bachelor's, Master's and Doctorate in Philosophy (Aesthetics) from the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP). He is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences at the same University, where he has coordinated Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Master's Degree Courses, as well as the Doctorate Course in Philosophy. He is an integrated member of the Center for Philosophical and Humanistic Studies (CEFH-UCP, Braga) and coordinator of the Philosophy area at FFCS. His research interests focus on the areas of Aesthetics and Theory of Arts, with an emphasis on the theme of Aesthetic and Artistic Experience, in its articulations with other dimensions of human experience, namely, with social and political values; religious, metaphysical and spiritual; educational, pedagogical and communicational; ethical and moral; technical and scientific; economic and more globally, cultural. He also investigates the areas of Phenomenology and Contemporary Culture, Ancient Western Philosophy, Eastern Philosophy, African Philosophy and Portuguese Philosophical Thought. He has taught several curricular units linked to these areas. He has published several works in national and foreign scientific journals and in chapters of works. He was co-editor of collective works. He has supervised master's dissertations and doctoral theses.
