Biography

My name is Carlos Pazmiño, a 27-year-old PhD student in Biotechnology, originally from Ecuador and currently based in Portugal. My academic and professional background is as a Biotechnology Engineer, while my current focus centers on cell culture, cell therapies, and tissue engineering, with a passion for driving innovation in regenerative medicine and biotechnology. I bring hands-on experience in bioassays, cell quantification methods for proliferation, viability, and cytotoxicity, as well as molecular techniques including PCR, qPCR, and DNA/RNA extraction and quantification. Additionally, I have expertise in cell biology, particularly in the identification and isolation of fungal and bacterial parasites, further enriching my proficiency in biomedical research and development.
