Biography

DDS, Ph.D. in Dental Sciences, Ph.D. in Microbiology. Invited associated professor at the Faculty of Dental Medicine, Portuguese Catholic University, Viseu, Portugal. Researcher at the Center for Interdisciplinary Research in Health (CIIS). Research interest in antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and cell induction properties of natural and synthetic products and drug-delivery systems for Dentistry. Post-doc experience in genetics of microorganisms, oral immunology, and cell culture. Member of the International Association for Dental Research (IADR), Brazilian Society of Dental Research (SBPqO, Brazilian Division of the IADR), Brazilian Microbiology Society (SBM), Canadian Society of Microbiologists (CSM) and Canadian Biomaterials Society (CBS).
