Biography
Diogo Nóbrega is an integrated researcher at the Centre for Research in Science and Technology of the Arts (CITAR) and an associate researcher at the Institute of Philosophy of NOVA University (IFILNOVA). As a fellow of the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology, he obtained his PhD from NOVA University Lisbon with the thesis “Figure – Politics and Ontology of Movement in the Thought of Gilles Deleuze” (December 2023), awarded with the highest distinction. Between 2017 and 2020, he was a visiting researcher at the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa, under the supervision of philosopher Roberto Esposito. His work constitutes a collaborative engagement across Film Studies, Philosophy of Cinema, and Political Theory. He has presented his research at international conferences worldwide and published in leading academic journals such as Aniki, Diacrítica, Scenari, and Les lettres romanes, among others. He is the author of the book Deleuze and Democratic Perversion (Figure I), published in the Linhas de Fuga series by Sistema Solar – Documenta (2025).
