Biography

Elizângela Costa de Carvalho Noronha is a researcher in the Postdoctoral Programme in Integral Human Development at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa and holds a PhD in Communication Sciences from the University of Coimbra. She works in the field of Social Sciences, with an emphasis on Communication Sciences and issues directly related to Journalism. She has a particular interest in the relationships between Communication, Language, Gender Studies, and audiences. She has academic and professional experience in Journalism, having held various roles in print media, radio, television, press offices, and higher education teaching. She coordinates the GMMP (Global Media Monitoring Project) in Brazil. She is a member of the Centre for Communication and Culture Studies (Universidade Católica Portuguesa) and collaborates with the Research Centres ICNova (Nova), IA (UBI), Rede Antonietas (SBPJor/Brazil), and the Feminicide Observatory (UFJF/Brazil).
