Dr. Ezequiel Coscueta, an Assistant Researcher at the Centro de Biotecnologia e Química Fina (CBQF) and an Invited Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Biotechnology, Universidade Católica Portuguesa, holds a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from the Universidad Nacional de Rosario, Argentina, and a B.Sc. in Biotechnology from the Universidad Nacional del Litoral, Argentina. His expertise spans green chemistry, peptidomics, and nanotechnology, with special emphasis on the food and nutraceutical sectors.
As the Principal Investigator of the gBIOT project, Dr. Ezequiel Coscueta leads groundbreaking research in biotechnological solutions for intestinal health. He has published over 30 peer-reviewed articles and contributed to various book chapters, focusing on bioactive ingredients, valorization of agri-food by-products, and biotechnological applications. His work has resulted in one granted patent and three provisional patent applications.
Beyond his academic and research commitments, Dr. Ezequiel Coscueta is actively involved in volunteer work, participating in multiple professional associations, and leading different working groups. This dedication is always carried with a commitment to spreading knowledge in the community and promoting the ideas of sustainability and the circular economy. He also devotes time to education, supervising doctoral and master's students, and contributes as a guest editor to journals such as Molecules and Catalysts, contributing to the growth and dissemination of scientific knowledge in his field.
