Biography

PhD in Social Work from Carleton University, Canada. He currently works as an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Human Sciences of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (FCH-UCP), and as an integrated researcher of the Católica Research Center for Psychological, Family and Social Wellbeing (CRC-W) from FCH-UCP. He authors several academic publications and op-eds in English and Portuguese. His areas of research and teaching are centered on social citizenship rights, social policy analysis, political economy, politics of austerity, structural approaches to social work, and more recently on sustainable development.
