I received my PhD in History from the University of Bologna "Alma Mater Studiorum" (2013). I worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the Leiden University-Institute for History and I was FCT post-doctoral fellow at the Centro de Investigação Transdisciplinar Cultura, Espaço e Memória-Faculdade de Letras da Universidade do Porto (CITCEM-FLUP). From March 2019, I am a researcher at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP) and at Centro de Estudos de História Religiosa (CEHR). I have been teaching History of Medieval Christianity (Licenciatura em Teologia, 2021-) and History of Medieval Church (Mestrado Integrado em Teologia, academic years 2021-2022 and 2022-2023) at the Faculty of Theology of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa. I am also teaching History of Historiography at FLUP (2023-), and I collaborate, at the same university, in the course Theory and Tipology of Sources in History (academic year 2024-2025). My main research interest lies in the History of the Catholic Church in Italy and in the Iberian Peninsula between the eleventh and the thirteenth centuries.
