Magister Artium (Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg, 1987); Doutoramento (Universidade Aberta, 2003); 1987-1991 Teaching German as a foreign language in Portugal (Lisbon, Almada, Funchal); 1991-1996 Lecturer in the area of German Studies at the Universidade da Madeira / Funchal; 1996 - 2023 Lecturing German Language and Literature, Comparative Literature and Information Science at the Universidade Aberta / Lisbon and international summer courses (German Language and Culture) at the University of Freiburg; Erasmus+ Exchange at the Univ. of Birmingham and Univ. of Iceland. Current Position: Assistant Professor at the Universidade Aberta / Lisbon. Member of APEG (Associação Portuguesa de Estudos Germanísticos), CECC (Research Centre for Communication and Culture / Universidade Católica Portuguesa), IVG (Internationale Vereinigung für Germanistik), British Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies (BSECS), and AIM (Associação de Investigadores da Imagem em Movimento); co-editor of REAL (Revista de Estudos Alemães).
