Biography

Gloria Adu-Kankam is a PhD student in Culture Studies at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa. She holds a BA degree in Land Economy from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana, and an MA in International Affairs with African Studies major from the Ohio University. Her research interest includes technology and culture, media and society and gender empowerment in the context of Afro-techno-culture. In her PhD research, she wishes to explore the role of digitality in the contemporary representation of Afro-techno-culture.
