Biography

Regarding my academic background, I have a Ph.D. in Communication Sciences from Universidade do Minho, specializing in Film and Television Studies with a focus on notions of authorship in audiovisual works and the Department of Production of Films and Fiction series. I have a master's Degree in Cinema and Audiovisual, specializing in the Department of Production and a bachelor's Degree in Sound and Image, both from the Universidade Católica Portuguesa. At the moment, in professional terms, I am a consultant and specialist at DGArtes in New Media, an effective jury at the Institute of Cinema and the Audiovisual (ICA) and co-founder and coordinator of the GT Economy and Management of the Moving Image at the Moving Image Researchers Association (AIM). I am a researcher at CECC (Research Centre for Communication and Culture), a co-director and co-editor of the indexed international journal «Cinema & Território». I also give training and classes about creation processes, law and finances in cinema and audiovisual, being an invited assistant professor at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa e Universidade Lusíada. I was a science and technology management fellow twice at two different university institutions, the High Institute of Engineering of Porto (ISEP) and The Faculty of Humanities and Arts of Porto (FLUP). I have several scientific publications, conferences and speeches given about my work.
