PhD in Philosophy, Faculty of Letters of the University of Porto (FLUP, 2005). Master’s degree in philosophy of education (FLUP, 1996). Associate Professor at the Faculty of Education and Psychology of the Portuguese Catholic University (FEP-UCP), where currently coordinates the Master's Degree Courses in Educational Sciences. Member of the Research Center for Human Development (CEDH/-UCP). Member of the Ethics Committee in Technology, Social Sciences and Humanities (CETCH/UCP). President of the Council of the Ethics Charter of the Portuguese Society of Educational Sciences (SPCE). Director of the magazine Página da Educação (Profedições). Main areas of teaching, research, publication: Educational Ethics, Ethics and Scientific Research, Philosophy of Hospitality, Social Pedagogy
