Biography

Member of the Franciscan Order since 1985; Pre-university education at the Franciscan Order seminary; first degree in Theology at the Faculty of Theology, UCP - Portuguese Catholic University (1990); 1990-1994: specialized in Patristic Sciences at the Augustinian Patristic Institute. 1993-1994: intensive course in Christian Archaeology at the Pontifical Institute of Christian Archaeology; Contemporaneously studied at the Pontifical Oriental Institute in Rome (1997-1998); PhD in Patristic Theology at the Pontifical Gregorian University (Rome 1998). Since 2000 teaches at the UCP Faculty of Theology. He has promoted the translation and study of the "classics of ancient Christianity," with numerous articles and books published on Christianity of the origins and patristic literature, among which we highlight the most recent: Sim Cremos. As member of the Faculty of Theology Direction, is the Coordinator of the Doctorate in Theology. Is a research member of CITER - UCP. He is the director of the Franciscan culture magazine ITINERARIUM (ISSN 0021-3209) and a member of the scientific council of the ARCHIVO IBERO-AMERICANO (ISSN 0004-0452 / eISSN 2660-4418).
