Biography

Full teaching role as an university professor. Currently, João Paulo Ferreira (JPF) is the departmental coordinator of the ERASMUS+ program. Before, he has coordinated for 11 years the MSc program in Biomedical Engineering. Research works in different fields within biotechnological engineering, with emphasis on applications involving the chemistry of bio/macromolecules to the health and food sectors; studies of interactions in biological structures; hydrocolloids; microcapsules for the controlled release of bioactive agents; micro and nanoemulsions; energetics of industrial processes; dairy technology, including novel products development.
