Biography
JOÃO PEREIRA COUTINHO is Associate Professor of Political Science at the Institute for Political Studies of the Catholic University of Portugal, in Lisbon. He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science and International Relations from the same university and was an Academic Visitor at St. Antony’s College, Oxford. He is also a well-known columnist in Portugal and Brazil and a regular political commentator on the Portuguese television. His latest books were simultaneously published in Portugal and Brazil.
