Joana Matos

Law degree and Master´s degree in Corporate Law and Business from Unversity Catholic of Portugal, Faculty of Law - Porto. Post-graduate in European Competition Law from King´s College London. Admitted to the Portuguese Bar Association in 2012. Began my professional career at Telles de Abreu & Associados, providing expert corporate advice to clients from different economic sectors, such as industry, tourism, healthcare, agriculture, construction and engineering companies, as well as public administration. Currently collaborating with one of the Portugal´s largest and most reputable law firm (Vieira de Almeida), providing advice in the field of Information, Communication and Technology. Previously, I have worked as in-house lawyer in a multinational company (Sonae) with a diversified portfolio of business in retail, financial services and technology, where I provided legal support and advice to the Compliance and Internal Control Department. With good analytical skills and ability of managing priorities, I consider myself to be communicative and attentive to the details.
