Biography

Joana R. Rato, completed her Doctorate in Health Sciences in 2014 from the Universidade Católica Portuguesa - UCP (Portugal) and, in 2006, earned the DEA in the Doctorate Program in Clinical Neuropsychology from the Universidad de Salamanca (Spain). Since 2003, had a degree in Educational Psychology. She is currently an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Health Sciences and Nursing and an integrated researcher at the Center for Interdisciplinary Research in Health at the UCP. Between articles, chapters, and books, JRR presents to date more than 30 production indicators. The total number of publications indexed in SCOPUS is thirteen (13), and in the last five (5) years ten (10) articles have been published. She co-supervised 2 doctoral theses in cognitive science and currently co-supervises 5 students (3 with FCT scholarships). She supervised 17 master's dissertations in neuropsychology and supervises 6 students. She received 1 award(s) and/or honors. She collaborates on funded projects with municipalities, schools, and has an extensive outreach activity with participations in the media, and makes podcasts and articles for the ED-ON science communication platform of the Iniciativa Educação.org.
