Biography

Joana Teixeira is a contemporary art conservation researcher and a PhD in Conservation and Restoration of Pictorial Heritage. She is an Auxiliary Professor at the School of Artes, Universidade Católica Portuguesa, where she coordinates the master’s degree in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage and she is an investigator in CITAR- Research Center of Science and Technology of the Arts-, with special interest in the conservation of contemporary art, focusing on the relationship between theoretical reflection and acting practices and documentation process.
