Biography

I was born in 1953 in Campo de Jales, Vila Pouca De aguiar. I attended the Spiritan seminary in Régua and Braga until the end of the first year of my philosophy degree. I obtained a bachelor's degree in philosophy from the Faculty of Philosophy of the Catholic University, with 15 marks, in 1974, and a degree in philosophy from the University of Porto, with 14 marks, in 1980. I obtained a master's degree in Portuguese Literature and Culture from the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, with very good marks, January 17, 1991. I obtained my Professional Diploma from the General Directorate of Basic Education for the 1st group of Preparatory Education, with a grade of 15.7, in 1978, having started teaching at the Industrial and Commercial School of Vila Nova de Famalicão, in the 1974/75 and 1975/1976 school years, in the subject of Portuguese. I worked as a teacher trainee supervisor for Portuguese teacher training from the 1977/78 school year, according to the training processes that were implemented: classical training, integrated training at the University of Minho, on-the-job training. I was trained as a supervisor between April 10 and 13, 2007, and worked as one in 2007 and 2008. I was a school board teacher for the 5th and 6th grades at Agrupamento de Escolas Dr. Francisco Sanches, from 1978/79 until my retirement on 01/01/2020.

I was president of the School Assembly and the General Council of the Dr. Francisco Sanches School Group, I was a member of the Braga Municipal Education Council, 2004-2007, I was an accredited trainer at the Sá de Miranda Training Center, coder/classifier in 2009 and 2012. Since 1978/79 I have been a member of a cultural entertainment group, first called the Braga Teachers' Folk Group and since 2005 the "Os Sinos da Sé" Cultural and Festive Association. I'm studying for a PhD in Cognitive Linguistics at the UCP in Braga, focusing my studies on analyzing and understanding the linguistic and cultural content that makes up the cultural category of Folklore.
