Biography
Kavita Sorathiya is a Researcher at the Center for Biotechnology and Fine Chemistry at Escola Superior de Biotecnologia, Universidade Católica Portuguesa (CBQF/UCP-Porto). She completed her Bachelor's in Microbiology (2017) from Kutch University and earned her Master's in Microbiology (2019) from Sardar Patel University. She served as R1 Researcher for two projects at the CBQF-UCP. Her current research is focused on the area of food biotechnology, specifically natural-source antimicrobials that exhibit biofunctional properties and contribute to sustainable practices. Her research areas of interest include microbiology, plant-derived extracts, and bioactive compounds.
