Biography
Luís Leal de Faria holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics and a Master's degree in Finance from Nova School of Business and Economics (Nova SBE), as well as a PhD in Political Science and International Relations from the Institute for Political Studies at Universidade Católica Portuguesa (IEP Católica). He currently lectures at IEP Católica and conducts research at its Research Centre (CIEP). Since July 2025, he has also been a member of the Portuguese Government Task Force for State Reform. His previous roles include Teaching Assistant at Nova SBE (2020–2025), Economist at the Portuguese Securities Market Commission (CMVM) (2021–2025), Adviser at the Bank of Portugal (2016–2018), and Trainee at the European Central Bank (2015–2016).
