Biography
In 2000, he graduated in Theology from the Faculty of Theology of the Portuguese Catholic University in Braga. He obtained his Master's Degree in Theology at the Faculty of Theology "San Dámaso", Madrid, specialising in Catechetical Theology. In 2014, he completed his Master's degree in Educational Sciences, specialising in e-Learning Pedagogy, at the Universidade Aberta in Lisbon. In 2016, he completed his Doctorate in Theology, with a focus on Practical Theology, at the Portuguese Catholic University, with a thesis entitled "The Digital at the Service of Faith. Teaching for an opportunity". He is currently dedicated to the study and teaching of practical theological subjects at the Faculty of Theology of the Portuguese Catholic University. His research concerns the broad phenomenon of transmission, from the challenge that start to the religions in general, but studied from the Christian perspective. Since research in practical theology needs to know reality in order to be able to reflect on it, he is also dedicated to reflecting on the applicability of empirical research methods in the context of theological reflection. Another area of research is the didactics of religious education, with a focus on digital resources for teaching and learning, especially informal ones. His third area of interest is the cultural and religious implications of digital culture in an increasingly globalised world.
