Biography
Dr Lungile Augustine Tshuma is a Researcher in the Centre for Communication and Culture, Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Portugal. Prior to this, he was a senior post-doctoral research fellow in the Department of Communication and Media at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa. Lungile, an experienced journalist, worked for The Chronicle and The Sunday News publications in Zimbabwe before joining the Department of Journalism and Media Studies at the National University of Science and Technology in Zimbabwe. Lungile’s research interest are on photography, memory, and journalism studies. His work has been published in local and international journals such as Journal of Genocide Research, African Journalism Studies, Critical Arts, Nations and Nationals, Journal of Communication Inquiry, and Media, Culture and Society.
