Biography

Rosário Serrão holds an inter-university Doctorate Degree in Applied Psychology: Adaptation and Change in Contemporary Societies, in association with Ramon Llull University, Universidade Católica Portuguesa and Nottingham Trent University (Summa cum Laude, 19). Her Doctoral thesis was entitled "A whole-school approach to the promotion of psychological health and well-being, from pupils to headteachers: Contributions to a universal screening process in schools". Rosário's Master degree was in Psychology - Specialisation in Psychology of Education and Human Development from Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP), Porto, Faculty of Education and Psychology (average 19). Since 2011, Rosário has been collaborating with research projects in Psychology and Education. During her ERAMUS+ internship, she collaborated with European research projects within the Centre for Resilience and Social & Emotional Health, University of Malta. She was a research fellow in the Project EDUgest - Gestão Escolar e Melhoria nas Escolas [School Management and School Improvement], funded by Fundação Belmiro de Azevedo, for 31 months. She has also worked as a School Psychologist and has teaching experience at undergraduate and master levels in Psychology and Psychology of Education. She is an Integrated Junior Researcher at the Research Centre for Human Development (CEDH), where she actively contributes to different studies. She is currently an Applied Research Assistant at Project Let's Care - Building safe and caring schools to foster educational inclusion and school achievement, funded by Horizon 2020 from the European Union.
