Maria Isabel Pereira Varanda. PhD in Theology in 1999 from the Catholic University of Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium; Masters in Theology in 1994 from the Catholic University of Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium; Degree in Theology in 1992 from Universidade Católica Portuguesa and Bachelor of Nursing in 1985 from Escola de Enfermagem Calouste Gulbenkian-Braga. Isabel Varanda is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Theology-Braga, Universidade Católica Portuguesa; Visiting Professor at St. Joseph University in Macau, China; Researcher at Universidade Católica Portuguesa - Center for Research in Theology and Religious Studies (CITER); Member of the Séminaire Oecuménique Francophone de Theology de l' Ecologie -SOFTE.
