Biography
Maria Melo completed the Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering in 2022 by Universidade Católica Portuguesa - Escola Superior de Biotecnologia, after receiving her Bachelor's in Bioengineering in 2020 from the same institution. She also enrolled an Erasmus+ period during the MSc, in Verona, Italy. Currently, she is a researcher in Centro de Biotecnologia e Química Fina (CBQF), as a PhD student, under a FCT funded grant (received in 2023). Additionally, she already has two scientific papers published as first author, and participated in scientific conferences as oral and poster presenter, and has experience in organising conferences and other events. Involved in dynamic activities, such as volunteering, she also received merit awards throughout her academic path.
