Maria Madalena Quintela is currently working on a PhD dissertation in the Program of Literary Theory in the School of Arts and Humanities at the University of Lisbon (FLUL), about the work of João Guimarães Rosa. She is also a FCT (Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia) Fellow, and a researcher at the Research Center for Communication and Culture at the Catholic University of Portugal. She has a degree in Languages, Literatures and Cultures from FLUL and a Master's in Literary Theory (FLUL), with a thesis on the work of the Brazilian author Adélia Prado. Her published work focuses on Brazilian and Portuguese contemporary literature, namely Adélia Prado and Adília Lopes. Apart from the various reviews she has published for Forma de Vida on different subjects, we want to highlight the chapters "No meio da noite", in Florilégio (2023), and "Adília por Maria José e Maria José por Adília", in Estar e casa com Adília Lopes - do poético ao político (in press). Concerning the study on Adília Lopes' work, she collaborated with the POEPOLIT II Project, based in Vigo, Spain, helping with bibliographical research. She has also participated in national and international conferences, presenting works on the subjects already mentioned.
