Biography
Mariana Victorino is a PhD in Communication Sciences by ‘Universidade Católica Portuguesa’ and has been an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Human Sciences of this University since 2013, where she also coordinates the Advanced Training in Reputation Management and Crisis Communication. Between 2014 and 2016 she was a visiting professor at ‘Escola Superior de Comunicação Social’ (‘Instituto Politécnico de Lisboa’), and between 1999 and 2018 she was an Assistant Professor at ‘Instituto Superior de Comunicação Empresarial’. Between 2005 and 2023 she was the managing director in Portugal of the Omnicom Public Relations Group, integrated in one of the largest global communication groups (NYSE: OMC), where she also integrated the executive committee for the Iberian Peninsula. Currently, she is the Marketing Director and Head of EMEA Communications for Foundever, one of the global leaders in the customer experience (CX) industry. Her main areas of research are public relations, crisis communication, reputation, media and influencer relations. She is the author of several publications on crisis communication and public relations.
